Links Park Education Trails teacher testimonials

Numeracy Trail

“This was a fantastic day out for the children and adults. They were able to apply the skills taught in class to real life situations. The leaders were friendly and in control of the children but also sensitive to their needs. All stations were linked to the curriculum and the leaders clearly understood what was being taught. Thank you!”

                                                                                                             Miss Wotherspoon, Borrowfield Primary School

Literacy Trail

“I thought it was fantastic how curriculum learned in class was reflected and used in a real life context. Even after being at the literacy trail I kept making links and examples of how what we learn in class is needed in real life context and named examples used during the literacy trail.”

                                                                                                                                Mrs Greig, Southesk Primary School

Science Trail

“The Links Park Science Trail was incredibly well organised. Staff from each school were fully informed of the expectations prior to attendance. The staff working at Links Park took full control of each group activity allowing Primary staff to observe, support and take picture for evidence. All staff members explained the activities clearly and at a level which was appropriate for the children. The staff were supportive of children who were unable to access certain activities due to prior injuries. All of the team at Links Park ensured the day was fun filled for everyone, even those who were less enthusiastic towards football. I would highly recommend this experience and I would happily take any future classes to the Science Trail. The children are still talking about their time at Links Park, weeks later and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you for a fantastic day out of school!”

                                                                                                                               Miss Miller, Lochside Primary School

Health Trail

"The whole day was excellent, the children were enthusiastic and engaged throughout. It definitely brought home various messages about health and well-being in a way that is quite difficult to achieve in class. If Curriculum for Excellence is about teaching children in exciting new ways and making learning highly relevant to them - this programme scores extremely highly."
