Scottish Walking Football CHAMPIONS!!!

Montrose Walking Football Club (Links Park Community Trust) participated in the first Paths for All Scottish Walking FootballChampionships today at Spartans Community Football Academy.

Having came through a challenging group stage and semi-final, the LPCT team overcame Midlothian in the final!

We wish to thank our shirt sponsors Wärtsilä for supporting our team! We hope you enjoy seeing your company name on the strips of CHAMPIONS!

Join our Walking Football group and keep up to date with news of our men's and women's programmes:

Montrose Walking FC (Men's Section) had a very successful and memorable 2016.

They were victorious in their first competitive event, winning the Kev Knox Memorial Trophy against a strong Carnoustie Panmure Walking Football side, who then subsequently won it themselves in a follow up competition.

Our side then came out on top in the Paths for All Scottish Championships at Spartans F.C. in Edinburgh.

Montrose Walking FC then, as a result of becoming national champions, represented Scotland in the first Walking Football-United UK Championships, and having reached the final, lost out to a strong England side to finish British Runners-Up!

Our Walking Football programme runs each and every Wednesday at Links Park Stadium, with a 6-7pm (recreational) session and a 7-8pm (competitive) session.

There is no need to pre-book, just turn up and register on arrival!

We also have a growing Ladies section, and further information on both initiatives can be found on our Walking Football FB Group:
